How long does it take to activate the service?
After payment is confirmed, your VPS is activated automatically within a few minutes. In rare cases, an anti-fraud check requires manual review and may take up to 12 hours.
Can I run Windows?
The Classic Cloud offer supports Linux operating systems only.
Does the VPS have a VNC console?
A VNC console is available in your client area. It allows you to see the status of the VPS or connect to it for example in case of SSH service failure.
Is Docker supported?
Our VPS instances are fully virtualised machines and support Docker.
Is a firewall included?
Yes, the firewall can be activated from the customer area.
Can I add IP addresses?
Additional IP addresses are not available with our VPS plans.
Can I downgrade my VPS?
A VPS cannot be downgraded because its virtual disk cannot be reduced once it has been expanded.
Can I upgrade individual resources?
Individual resource upgrades are not currently available. To increase your resources, you need to move to a higher plan.
What is a KVM VPS?
A KVM VPS is a virtual server based on the KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) hypervisor. Classic Cloud provides an isolated environment with the RAM and NVMe capacity included in your plan. CPU resources are shared, not dedicated or guaranteed, and subject to fair use. You can use the resources included in your plan within those conditions.
What is the difference between VPS NVMe and VPS Storage HDD?
The included VPS NVMe offers fast read/write performance for OS and databases. The attachable VPS Storage HDD (250 GB to 2 TB) brings capacity at reduced cost, ideal for media libraries, backups or file servers.
Can I attach an HDD disk to a cheap Linux VPS?
Yes. Classic Cloud plans start at €5/month and include NVMe storage. Up to 2 TB of additional HDD storage is available as a paid option, selected separately during checkout.
Can a PulseHeberg Linux VPS serve as a NAS or personal cloud?
Yes, Classic Cloud with its Storage HDD option up to 2 TB is suitable for NAS, file server or self-hosted personal cloud (Nextcloud, ownCloud) for documents and archives.
What is the maximum storage capacity on a VPS at PulseHeberg?
Up to 2 TB of additional HDD through the VPS Storage option, on top of the NVMe storage included with every Linux VPS Classic Cloud.
